German Soccer.
Los Angeles Soul.
TM17pro brings elite German-methodology soccer training to Los Angeles — a city Mirko Dieseler first fell in love with in 1989. This is where it all comes together.
1989. First Time in Los Angeles.
A city Mirko visited as a young man. A World Cup final watched in an LA sports bar. And a business partner who would become one of the greatest German footballers of all time. This is the story of TM17pro and Los Angeles.
First Time in Los Angeles
My first time in Los Angeles was 1989 — and I fell immediately in love with the city. I stayed in Hawthorne. My beach was Manhattan Beach. The weather, the people, the feeling of space — it was just great. There was nothing quite like it back home in Germany. Los Angeles had an energy that stayed with me long after I flew back.
The World Cup Final — In an LA Sports Bar
One year later, I came back. And this time, Los Angeles gave me a moment I will never forget. On July 8, 1990, I watched the FIFA World Cup Final — Argentina vs. Germany — in a sports bar right here in Los Angeles. Germany won the title. Lothar Matthäus led the German team to the championship and was named World Football Player of the Year in 1990. I was watching from across the world, in the city I had already fallen in love with, cheering for Germany.
Lothar Matthäus — Business Partner & Friend
What I did not know back in those times: Lothar and I would one day become business partners and friends in Germany — in 2013. The man I had watched lift the World Cup trophy in that Los Angeles sports bar became one of the people who shaped how I see football. Lothar truly taught me to read a game and scout players. His eye for talent, his understanding of tactics, and his relentless standards left a permanent mark on the way TM17pro approaches player development.
The connection between Los Angeles and this methodology isn’t an accident — it’s personal. And it’s why we’re here.
TM17pro Comes to Los Angeles
Thirty-seven years after my first visit, TM17pro brings its German-methodology soccer camps to Los Angeles. The city that gave me Manhattan Beach, a World Cup final, and a love for football now gets the same DFB-framework training that we’ve built across 36 US cities. This one is personal.

World Football Player of the Year 1990. FIFA World Cup winner. UEFA European Championship winner. One of the greatest German footballers of all time — and the man who taught Mirko to read a game and scout players with precision.
The scouting intelligence and game-reading philosophy that Lothar instilled in Mirko is built into every TM17pro session. When our coaches evaluate players, when our scouts identify potential, when our sessions are designed — Lothar’s influence is present. That’s the lineage behind what we bring to Los Angeles.
